Exercise With Oxygen Therapy Adaptive Contrast Protocol

This protocol uses a combination of high oxygen (hyperoxic) and low oxygen (hypoxic) conditions in order to achieve improvements in VO2Max, stimulates the production of HGH and EPO, reduce visceral fat, and reduce inflammation.

HGH production is stimulated in the hyperoxic state while EPO production is stimulated in the hypoxic state.

WARNING: Always consult your healthcare professional before starting a new exercise or supplement program.

Protocol

Preparation

PhaseOxygenMethodTimeNotes
Warm UpHypoxicStart at high altitude to warm up and target 60-70% of maxHR. Oxygen saturation drops at around 81%5 MinutesCreates respiratory challenge and develops moderate O2 debt.
EPOHypoxicSprint to 90% - 95% of maxHR.1 MinuteIncrease O2 debt
Oxygen WashHyperoxicDecrease pace to a comfortable level to recover 60% of maxHR and oxygen saturation back to 99%4 MinutesUsing the oxygen debt generated from the EPO phase to saturate the body with oxygen

Sprint Intervals

Repeat 3-8 Times

PhaseOxygenMethodTimeNotes
HGH/SprintHypoxicSprint to target 90% - 100% of maxHR15 - 20 secondsSets the body into a hypoxic state which raises HR towards maximum.
HGH/SprintHyperoxicContinue sprint to maintain 90% - 100% of maxHR15 - 20 secondsSaturates the body with oxygen and stimulates the release of HGH
RestHyperoxicRecover back to 60% of maxHR1 minuteRecovery

Cooldown

PhaseOxygenMethodTimeNotes
CooldownHyperoxicMaintain a comfortable pace and get BPM below 100bpm and 99% oxygen saturation5 minutesClear out lactate generated from sprint intervals.
